Hi all, I'm playing Hazen and cannot find the locked gate. I defeated the three monsters and talked to the angels, and they just told me to take a rest in their sanctuary. I've looked all around the level and cannot find it. Can someone help me please?

Hiya Ned and welcome to the forum.

I've edited your title to this topic so that other folk will know it's about Hazen, although to be honest I think I'm probably the closest thing to a Hazen expert that we've got on the forum. Unfortunately, it's been a while since I last played it, so I'll need to go check out some of my saved games, 'cos at the moment my first thought is... Angels? What angels?... but, I probably don't remember them if I haven't had to kill them....

So, I'll pop back later and let you know what I've discovered.

That would be great when you get a chance. I've been running around other levels looking for it and I'm getting a bit frustrated.

Hi again Ned, I had a very quick look yesterday, but didn't have time to give it more than a quick gander. However, I'm still not sure exactly where you are. So, sorry to be a pain, but can you give me a bit more info?

Things like, what quests have you still to complete? Do you know the name of the area where the angels are? (if you have a look at your saved games, it generally gives you the name of the area where you were when you saved it).

Plus, if you're able to post a screenshot, that's more likely to jog my memory aswell (me getting old).

Thanks Yiv for getting back to me quickly. I wish I knew how to do a screenshot but I'm not up on it. I'm on the fifth level at a place called Frostwind Bastion. There's an area outside of electrified pillars where there are four chained creatures. If you follow the path to the left and back you can reach an ice bridge that takes you higher. It's a type of temple up high with these winged critters that call themselves "brothers". I hope this info is enough to help you work it out.

Sorry, I haven't gotten back to you sooner Ned, I'm afraid I got hit by a migraine headache spell for the past week.

On the plus side, I know roughly where you are in the game now, so if you haven't given up in disgust or figured it out already, I'll be able to play forward from an old save (portal to Frostwind) and get to where you're at.

So, thank you for your patience and I will reply back tomorrow (Saturday)... unless I get killed a lot, in which case it might be Sunday.

I hope you feel better. My sister gets heaps of migraines and I know she suffers badly from them. I've been super busy with work and haven't had much of a chance to think about playing games. Appreciate your help.

Thanks Ned, I thought I was better, but I spoke too soon, I'm pleased to say that now I am feeling more human (or cat?) again. I can empathise with your sister, I've gotten them all my life, but luckily they are few and far between these days, they just last longer... .

So, as I'm in total withdrawal and need to play games this weekend, a dose of Hazen seems like a perfect remedy.

Back soon. (plus, hope you've managed to get some gaming in yourself and works settled down for you)

Hi Judy,
I'm ned and I posted originally for some help with Hazen. If you're into running around and fighting fantasy creatures and doing quests, it's not a bad game. The graphics are quite good.

Hi Ned, you must be really hacked off at me it's taken me so long to get back to you. I finally got Hazen up and running again, although I'm having to play through from a really old early save.

But as I'm in need of some hack and slash therapy after battling (and mostly losing ) with quite a few technical problems the last while, I thought I'd check if you ever did manage to find the gate, or did you give up in disgust?

By the by aswell, if you like Hazen I thought I'd also recommend Sacred Gold to you - Sacred Gold
