The game itself is stuck... it gets to a card (Card 2 - Fire/Phoenix or Card 4 - Wolf) and I can quickly solve it, but then it goes right back there. No forward arrow, just the backward one. Which takes me to the same card. I -bought- the game rather than renting, and it worked well initially.

I tried Reset Game, but the same thing happened pretty quickly.

How can I get it unstuck?

Running Android on Kindle Fire.

You need to contact support for help. Here is a tutorial that may help if you haven't emailed support before.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Wow. Seriously? We have this forum, but use of it is discouraged and we're supposed to us email? Pathetic.

I did figure out the answer (which is equally pathetic): Even though I bought the game, it will only run to Card 2 if there's no data connection... e.g. on an airplane, or out of cell tower range, or when using a Kindle Fire out of WiFi range. If that's documented, I didn't notice it.

I'm sorry if it seemed I was discouraging you from using the forums. I was only trying to get you some help quicker than it may have been answered on here.

The forums are mainly other users helping each other and since this forum is relatively new, I wasn't sure when anyone else would get back with you.

By posting on here and finding a solution you may have helped another member with that same problem. Also if you email support it will let them know what happened to you in case there is a way to work around that or if it is even a glitch.

The point is if they don't know they can't do anything about it, ;)

I was unaware of a need to be connected in order to play the game further than Card 2 and I will make sure to report it to our internal teams. Thank you for letting us know.

That may not be it... it seems to get stuck in the same place when I transition from my home network to my office network.  It does require connectivity, but there's another problem also (possibly that it requires a port not open at the office?)

Whatever it is, it's really annoying.  I do hope I get resolution soon.

Further evidence of a non-standard port: I took the non-functioning game back home, ensured good wifi connection, and it started up with a five second or so splash saying it was contacting the license server.

So... apparently even though I "bought" this game, I can't play it in offline mode (e.g. airplane) or even when in a location that can surf the web but can't contact Wild Tangent sufficiently.  Fascinating.  And really really annoying.

Faded, have you ever tried using Wild Tangent support?  I got an email from Adam (same one wrote wrote above?), who apparently replied to my detailed message with a cut-and-paste without even reading the detailed message I provided.

For example, all details including device and symptoms are in the email, but his script asks for them again "if not mentioned in the original contact."

Here's hoping they actually read and try it this time.

Yes TechnoCat I have used WT support quite a bit and even if it takes a bit of back and forth they stuck with me till I resolved my issues. I can't say if the Adams are the same ones. LOL I know our Admin Adam M did say:

wasn't aware of need to be connected in order to play the game further than Card 2 and I will make sure to report it to our internal teams.

Yes that is me, and I am sorry if you thought my reply was cut and paste. When I asked for additonal information, I was looking for any details that may not have been added to the original email, if there were any, hence the quote you provided. The more information I can provide to our engineers, the better the outcome generally is.

Adam, while you're at it...

Most level games with "trophies" allow you to replay the levels after completing them, to try to get the trophies.  In this case, e.g., there's a trophy for clearing 90% of a level.  But once the game is completed, starting the game and selecting an element (Fire, Earth, Air...) leads directly just to the Card, which is the last challenge (and only non-clearing screen) of that element.  Complete the card and you are taken back to... the card.

The only way I've found to get back to the clearing levels is to reset the game... at which point I've lost ALL the trophies and can only go through the game sequentially.  Not nearly as useful as allowing reply of anything completed.

For examples of doing this differently, Robo Defense and Night of the Living Dead (Defense) both simply let you replay any completed level.

Is there a way to replay them?

Aside: Have you access to an android tablet and these games?  Are you able to attempt what I describe, or are you limited to forwarding my text to engineers?  Thanks.

Adam, I guess the biggest problem I have is that you guys don't actually play the games, cannot actually play them, and therefore must rely on the engineer guessing.

I do appreciate the efforts, but the process seems mis-aligned against success.
