Uninstalling WildTangent Software

There are two ways to uninstall WildTangent software from your computer. The quickest and easiest way is to uninstall the game through the Game App.

Launch the Game App by clicking on the Games icon on your taskbar or desktop.

Near the top of the Game App, there is a tab that says "My Games." Click on that tab.



This will show you a list of the games you currently have installed on your computer.

In the upper right corner is a link that says "remove / uninstall games." Click the link.



A red X will appear on the upper right hand corner of each of your games. Click the X for the game you would like to uninstall.



For Windows Vista and Windows 7/8 users, if the User Account Control dialogue box opens asking if you would like to allow changes, select "Yes."

A dialogue box will appear, and ask you to confirm that you do want to uninstall the program



Once the uninstall process is complete, click OK.



You may also manually uninstall WildTangent software by using your operating system's uninstall feature.

Go to the Start Menu, choose Control Panel, and then open either the Add/Remove Programs option (Windows XP) or the Programs and Features option (Windows Vista and Windows 7/8).

The software will be listed as WildTangent Games, HPGames, DellGames, etc in the Add or Remove/Programs and Features menu. Click the Change/Remove to launch a separate window which will allow you to remove our games from your computer.

If that doesn't work, it usually means that another program on your computer has damaged your WildTangent software, preventing it from uninstalling properly. In that case, follow these steps:

Windows XP Users:
1. Delete these two folders from your hard drive:
C:\ProgramFiles\WildTangent
C:\ProgramFiles\WildGames
2. Visit http://www.wildtangent.com/gamesapp and reinstall our Game App software.
3. Finally, open the Add/Remove Programs control panel one more time, and this time everything should uninstall properly.

Windows Vista and Windows 7/8 Users:
1. Delete this folder from your hard drive:
C:\ProgramFiles\WildGames
2. Visit http://www.wildtangent.com/gamesapp and reinstall our Game App software.
3. Finally, use the Control Panel: Programs and Features to uninstall everything.
