HELP!!!!

I just installled Blasterball 3 and everytime I go to play it, my mouse pointer keeps moving in an upward direction and does not stop. It makes it very difficult to select any menu options and only happens when I select this game to play, so I know there is nothing wrong with my mouse....

any help / suggestions - (I've tried searching these forums but it seems I'm only one experiencing this...)
