i am having a question regarding my hp pavilion dv7 2070eg pre installed with vista home premium (with no update / upgrade to windows 7 option the date i have purchased my notebook 12.06.2009, not after 26.06.2009 as it is with windows 7 update / upgrade option).

my notebook comes preinstalled with my hp game console which is by wildtangent, a lot of demos and fullversion games where preinstalled.

last week i ordered windows 7 32 bit home premium system builder by amazon.de (here in germany), today i received windows 7 order from amazon.de

my problem is, i asked hp support by telephone too, i want to install the games demos fullversion games that where preinstalled on my vista notebook on windows 7 that i am about to install the next days, wipe the harddrive with dban and install windows 7 without windows vista aside (dual boot).

hp support says that i have to ask microsoft for the software being pre installed on my notebook for the purpose of my planned windows 7 installation, hp support misunderstood me, i quit the phone call though. i wanted them to ask for the my hp game console games to download for windows 7

because i cant find no "my hp games by wildtangent" on the hp drivers site for my notebook, this is the main question i have.

i searched my hd C:\ and found the folder C:\ProgramData\WildTangent in which the games of my hp games console are in executable exe files (i think the executable installer files), i copied the folder to a usb stick for my purpose.

the next question is

can i install the wildtangent game console from the website wildtangent.com and after this install the *.exe from the usb stick, so that the game console will recognize which game is installed.

i did not searched on the install media of windows vista for the games, i dont think that i will need to. because of the folder C:\ProgramData\WildTangent

will the games work on windows 7 as it is the same kernel architecture as it is with windows vista.

p.s. the wildtangent game console will not have the hp logo as it is with vista actually if i install windows 7 and wildtangent game console from the website.

In order to 'copy' what is on your system now over to a new install, you would also have to copy a lot of Registry information ... information that may well change and become irrelevant under the new installation.

Your best bet (though I've never had any luck either) is to contact HP and explain to them you want a CD that contains the OEM software installed on your system, including the WildTangent games. HP is responsible for all OEM software, not Microsoft.
