So I get this idea and it starts to sort of take shape in my head and the next thing you know I'm messing around with buttons and pieces parts and stuff, etc., etc...

A new menu mod I'm calling 'Clockwork'.
Still needs some polish (I'm my own worst critic...) and I haven't tweaked apart everything yet. Not sure how much of the original fate game menus I want to utilize...(Probably not much...) This is a themed thing so it kind of depends on what ends up looking the best. This 'head' button Click to view attachment shows the direction I'm heading with the...er...buttons...
Since I've got a bit of free time on my hands... (teacher strike...no, I'm not a teacher...) Below is what the loading screen will (probably) look like (only the pic is smaller so you just get an idea, not the full meal deal heh heh...)

I'm pretty stoked with how my ideas are panning out on this one... Definitely gonna change the look of the game a bit!! wink.gif

As always, comments are appreciated. I'll post more when I have something good (IMO) to post. Sometimes its just hard to settle on something if I think I can do it better by doing it again (and again, and again...).

EDIT: Click to view attachment You can see from this pic how the 'glows' sort of fit into the item 'frames' in the upper half.
EDIT: Click to view attachment A game screen pic. The 'petpanel' in the upper left will probably get cleaned up a little but you get the idea... Still need to do more buttons, the sockets, (spell 'sockets' need polish still...), the minimap, journal/quest/spell sheets, yadda, yadda... It takes a while to do one of these things, lots of pictures to manipulate.

Should be done fairly soon, just have some minor issues to take care of (mostly just fine tuning little things).
If anyone has any ideas, comments, suggestions, etc. NOW would be a good time to post up!!! Probably gonna upload this in a day or two. (If I miss this weekend I'll get it up by next weekend!!!)

This is about the longest single post I've ever done here on the forums heh heh... Looks like it anyways.
I may rework some things but this mod is better than 90% completed as it stands. I never know until I'm done when I'm finished LOL!!
Should be available sometime before next weekend!!

you can't use two UI mods at once and your PR nautica mod is incredible! also, I'm trying out some things for possibly my own UI.

Actually before I started on this UI I was using the GT mod buttons and minimap with the PR nautica mod!!! (heh heh, that IS two UI mods!) I haven't decided yet whether I want to do the same type of border/transparency thing with the gear-style buttons in this mod or not. It wouldn't take me too terribly long but the background picture needs to be fixed somehow too. (I wish I had a class or two in graphic arts, I'm sure my answer is in multiple layers and multiple processes or something...) Just a cleaner look I guess... The nautica map seemed to 'fit' a little better as well... Maybe I need to put some sort of borders on the pages... Hmmm.
Trial and error will eventually get me there, it might take another day or two...

EDIT: Due to the soon-to-be-released FATE:Traitor Soul, I am going to wait until Traitor Soul comes out before I release this mod (or anything else...). This is gonna keep all of us modders busy for a while isn't it?!?

Quite the interesting idea. Love the contributing theme for the new official race, clockwork punk. *or whatever*

Though, i must have to say, the mapping for the inventory looks a bit too busy in comparison to the main-screen and user UI Toolbar, just dont quite fit. Just some friendly criticism to help out.

I'm hoping the TS render looks better. Have reworked most of the buttons already, they are now smaller and have the semi-transparent button thing going... They look cleaner too.
About the inventory screen... Yeah, I'm gonna wait until I get TS to finish this one...
Clockwork was going to have a set of stuff to go with it too... Maybe artifacts or something... And I wanted to do a new class... sigh...
