How do you get them to practice kung fu, and is there anyway to make them earn money faster? I'm trying to save up to get a workplace upgrade, but it's taking forever!

kung fu isn't one of the things you can direct them to do, they'll just do it if they feel like it. Keep an eye out, especially when their energy is high!

That said, the newest release of V.F. fixes a quirk in the game and they do it much more often than in the original release. The newest version is 1.00.05 and was released May 5th 2009 (and WildTangent has this version, it just depends on when you downloaded it.) If you have the older version, it is worth your time to uninstall and reinstall it, because they will start doing things like kung fu, making lattes, and so on.

As far as earning money, I find one of the things that really helps give me an edge is interest. If you don't spend your money, you earn quite a bit of interest, and it gains momentum and grows pretty fast once you get some in the bank. If I am going for a big purchase, like a level 3 room, I choose a child / spouse based on income potential and don't spend any money. It doesn't take too long!
