I have saved some test characters for those who just want to stroll through the game without too much trouble, perhaps while looking for that elusive Bandersnatch. Below are some direct links to the individual files. Those with FFD extensions, you will have to right-click and use Save-As to get a copy.

FATE Characters:
FATE: UR Characters:
  • TestFemale0.1_FUR.FFD - A female character corresponding to the FATE male character. I haven't finished giving her all the gems I want to yet but that's why she's version 0.1.
  • TestMale0.3.FFD - The last version of my Test Male character from FATE imported to FATE: UR.
  • Bobfur.ffd - This character is the 46th generation of my original Fate Character. I have been passing his ring down for probably the last 53 generations and have repeatedly changed the gems in the ring. I was very happy to find the Agate in Traitor Soul. As a result, he is well on his way to becoming completely invincible with immunity to every known type of damage (many 100%, with 38% immunity to the remaining types of damage). Created by WyldePhyreBob.

FATE: The Traitor Soul Characters:
  • Bob.ffd - This character is the 55th generation of my original Fate Character.

Enjoy, I hope someone will find these useful.

yep, Harry was my first character. he was either 2nd or 3rd to make the bottom level with no mods. his stats are maxed out to the point where almost any increase will put it over or dangerously close to the magic number. he was used alot for modders making deep delver type mods to test with.

Thanks! Proper credit now given!

Hi. I just noticed that the link to the Harry file is not working, it comes up as a 404 page. The other regular Fate ones are working fine.

Thanks, it should be fixed now. I added the authors name to the filename so we would always know to whom to give proper credit.

Welcome to the Wildtangent Community BTW. Looks like I get the honor of your first post! wink.gif

C:\ProgramData\WildTangent\fateundiscoveredrealms\Persistent\SAVE\en-US

Just put it as a different number than what is there, like 4.ffd
iHardcore
I don't have a Persistent folder..

Your program files are probably hidden.

Copy and paste that folder location to your folder and it should show up and if it doesn't, it will tell you why and how to unlock it.

Actually, you can use any name you wish. I typically go in and rename the files from numbers to the name of the character so I will know which is which.

true, it does work, that isnt a bad idea.
iHardcore
Wow, they just simply aren't there..

Apparently the Application Data folder was hidden. On my last try I turned the "hide hidden folders and files" thing off. Then I finally found it biggrin.gif

Hidden folders are evil. I am glad you found it.

There is no bug, the file is not meant to be looked at, only used. You are probably using notepad or wordpad to look at it but it isn't a text file. Just put it in with your other characters and load it as a game.

I think what he means is that when you click on the link, it opens the .ffd file and displays the contents in new window.

What you need to do is right-click on the link, click "Save Target As" button, and save the file to your computer. Make sure you save the file extension as .ffd, not .htm.

Edit:

Nevermind about saving as .ffd, it just changes it back to .htm. Once you save it, you'll have to rename it as .ffd by right clicking on the file, clicking on "rename", and replacing the ".htm" with ".ffd". When you press enter, a window will probably come up saying something like: "If you change a file name extension, the file may be come unusable. Are you sure you want to change it?" Click the "Yes" button.

Edit 2:

Forget that. Read Spock's following post.

Thanks for trying to explain ... again (see first post) ... how to download the characters. I just tried it on my computer and the file was saved with an FFD extension with no requirement for me to rename it at all. Of course, I'm running Firefox, so perhaps it's a bit different for me.

[Added]
Nope, just tried it with Internet Explorer and all I had to do was change the Save as type to "All Files" and then make sure the File name extension was still FFD before I saved. It worked fine.

That's alright, I have found that not many read the original post after a while. At least you knew how to help Legandary Starly. Hope (s)he and others learn from this that the information is usually available in a fairly obvious place if they will only take a little time to look for it.

Of course, it is so much easier to just ask ... wink.gif

I'll add my own:

Bob.ffd - For Traitor Soul

This character is the 55th generation of my original Fate Character. I have been passing his ring down for probably the last 53 generations and have repeatedly changed the gems in the ring. I was very happy to find the Agate in Traitor Soul. Here is the 46th generation of that Character
This one is for F:UR

Bobfur.ffd

Sorry I don't have their ancestor for Fate Original.

Try again, I had changed the names of the files on the server but forgot to change them in the post.
