Mika's October Staff Pick
Plantasia Publisher: Playfirst Download: http://www.wildgames.com/ECS/htdocs/GameIn...mname=plantasia Points of Interest - Simple and progressive gameplay, with automatically selected tools - Relaxing storyline, with plenty of entertaining characters - Colorful gardens and cute music What Mika Says: Plantasia is truly a feel-good game, even if you don’t like to garden! Your plants tell you when they’re thirsty and ready to harvest, and pests are removed with a click of your mouse. (You don’t even get your hands dirty.) The gameplay is intuitive and most tools are pre-selected for you, so using spells and formulating strategies is refreshingly simple. I find it very relaxing to play, even when I fail a stage, and the music and characters are cute (and never fail to cheer me up). There are dozens of specific plants, each with individual traits, so if you’re a perfectionist, you can plan out the best possible garden from the seeds you’re given. If you like to play casually, you can work through the gardens at whatever pace you choose, able to visit and redo previous stages at any time. As a thoughtful addition, you can even use your game as a screensaver! If you like Diner Dash or Zoo Tycoon, you'll probably enjoy Plantasia. |
