Recoloring Help Options

Hey guys, this is going to be short but, how do I recolor items like Ring Mail if there not in the items folder as a jpg?

Anything that is animated (armor, boots, gloves) are in the player folder. the ring icon is just what you see on the ground not what you actually wear.

You can recolor the ring.png in paint but I would recommend getting the Gimp, a free lite version of Photoshop, which will give you many more features. Just be sure after you recolor, that you save as png, and don't touch the black and white alpha layer.

Yeah I use gimp, and thank you very much! Oh and, Jonathan showed me step by step how to make me a new recolored item with a name.

Yes, I did show you how to do that, but, the tutorial archive has pretty much everything you could ever want to know about modding. Start readying through that, and you'll be pumping out mods like there's no tommorow!
