Access Denied, Access denied for certain games from console Options

I recently upgraded to the newest console version. I have parental controls disabled but since upgrading, I am suddenly being denied access to certain games on both of my computers. My Vista PC gives the message "Access is blocked, possibly due to Windows parental control settings" and my XP PC simply gives the message "Access denied". I have no parental controls of any kind set on any of my computers.

I have the same problems, I have the newest console and downloaded three games and get the same message. I am running Windows 7 RC in 64bit. I also have the newest console on my laptop and it WILL play the games but I prefer to use my desktop as the screen is bigger. Is there a fix for this as I am on the admin account with no parental controls on and have turned console parental controls off. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

For problems like the above, unless there happens to be someone who knows the answer from personal experience, your best chance of getting a useful answer is to click on the Help button at the top of the forum and send an email to Customer Support.

Make sure you get a confirmation number back or it means Customer Support never got your email.

I am sorry to hear you are both experiencing this issue. Contrary to the message itself, the error "Access is blocked, possibly due to Windows parental control settings" is actually caused by the security software installed on your computer.

If you add our software to your security software's list of allowed programs, this message should not appear any more. If you are not sure how to update your security software, you can contact your security software manufacturer directly for more information.

Unfortunately, because there are so many different security software manufacturers out there we can only provide basic information. Contacting your security software manufacturer directly will ensure you are speaking directly with an expert on the software you are using.
