How to Post in the Forums

Anyone can read the topics on our Forums.  To participate in the discussion, you'll need a forum account.  Sign in or register!

For more information about how to register click here.

In order to post to an existing topic, you must be reading that topic. You will find an "Add Reply" button at both the top and the bottom of the topic.
Posted Image

Click "Add Reply" and you will be taken to a screen where you may add your input to the ongoing discussion.
Posted Image

There is also a "New Topic" button next to the "Add Reply" but there is an easier way to add a new topic. Go into the forum where you want to create a new topic of discussion and you will find a "New Topic" button at both the top and bottom of the list of topics.
Posted Image

Click one of those buttons and you will be taken to a page where you may enter your new topic. Unlike a reply, a new topic requires a subject. Make it descriptive so others will have an idea what the topic is supposed to be about.

At the bottom of the page you can preview your post to see what it will look like.

#162450 How To Make And Send A Screen Shot

Posted by Adam M on 04 January 2013 - 02:02 PM

Please follow the steps below to create a screen shot and send it to us:

(Please Note: The following directions and screen shots were made using Windows 7, the process for other versions of Windows is identical unless otherwise noted)

1) Make sure that the application, game or window is visible on your desktop that you want to take a screen shot of.

Posted Image

2) Hold the ALT button and press PRTSCN (PrtScn can be found in the upper right hand corner of your keyboard) button on your keyboard. Nothing will appear to happen, but the screen capture has been saved in memory.

3) Open the Paint program. You can start it by: START > ALL PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > PAINT. (Paint is part of Windows software in all but the Basic versions.  If you do not have Paint, any picture creation/editing software that you have will work.)

Posted Image

4) Once Paint is open, hold CTRL and press V.

5) You will see an exact duplicate of the application, game or window appear in Paint.

Posted Image

6) Now, hit FILE and then SAVE AS…

7) A new dialog box will pop up. There are several things we need to do here.

A) RENAME THE FILE: Name it something that you’ll remember.

B) CHANGING THE FILE FORMAT: The file type will default to 24-bit Bitmap. Choose JPEG from the drop down list.

C) SAVE LOCATION: On the left, click DESKTOP.

8) After the three steps above are done, click SAVE.

9) When sending your response to Customer Support, attach the file in your email program or through our website. If you don't know how to do this, please see the end of this post.

++++++++++++++ WINDOWS 8 ++++++++++++++

For Windows 8, there is one small difference:

1) Make sure that the application, game or window is visible on your desktop that you want to take a screen shot of.
2) Hold down the Windows Key and Print Screen.

Finally, to attach this image to the incident:

#157168 Have You Been Using Wildtangent For 6 Months+?

Posted by RonnieCastro on 30 April 2012 - 11:51 AM

My name is Ronnie and I'm a recent hire at WildTangent. I'm responsible for growing our customer base (that's you) and I'd be really interested in talking to people that have been using the product for a while to understand what's valuable to you. I want to hear about your general experience, what you love/hate about WildTangent, what you would improve if you were in charge, etc.

If you're interested in helping me out, send me a message with your contact details. I won't take more than 5-10 min of your time, and we can chat over email or phone, whatever your preference.

Thanks,
Ronnie

PS If you're a new customer and clicked into this topic anyway, I'd love to talk to you too! You're likely to have a different perspective on the product that would be good to understand.

#151073 Who Thinks That The Fate Kid Is Really A Midget Space Marine?

Posted by Red Soviet on 18 November 2011 - 02:26 PM

I personally think he is. I mean, how can someone who is four feet tall lift a couple hundred pound stone hammer and swing it like it's 2 pounds, wear and carry at least 100 pounds of items, and can he have a full beard at his age? The only possible explanation is that he is a space marine.

#148114 Worst Things That Have Happened In A Game (Or Computer Related)

Posted by Red Soviet on 12 July 2011 - 11:07 AM

In Fate, my 37-hour retired first character was deleted somehow. In KOTOR, The game broke twice (manual saves stopped working and the autosave was horrible, being stuck in a boss fight with accidently only one party member) and having to replay the first zone 3 times. In KOTOR 2 a game breaking glitch caused the game camera to stop rotating, making that character unplayable and having to start over. My Cod 4 accounts dissapeared. In Neverwinter Nights, I made an overly too-generic paladin with warrior as a cross-class ( I didn't know much about D&D's rules then, and is a horrible and worthless combination.) Crashing my 64-bit computer by installing two 32-bit games on it. (DO NOT INSTALL ANYTHING ON A 64-BIT THAT SAYS "CDV" ON THE BOX".)

Senior Breakfast

The  Senior's  Breakfast Special

We went to breakfast at  a  restaurant where the  "seniors'  special" was  Two eggs, bacon, hash browns  and toast for $1.99.

"Sounds good," my wife said.  "But I don't want the eggs."

"Then I'll have to charge  you two-dollars and forty-nine cents because  you're ordering a la  carte,"  the waitress warned her.

"You mean I'd have to pay  for not taking the eggs?", my wife asked  incredulously.

"YES!!" stated the  waitress.

"I'll take the  special."

"How do you want your  eggs?"

"Raw and in the shell," my  wife  replied.

She took the two eggs  home.

DON'T  MESS WITH SENIORS!!!

#156975 Wildgames is a RIPOFF!!

Posted by Bailey1958 on 21 April 2012 - 12:39 AM

I hope I am not doing something wrong by posting again....but.....a couple of days ago I had a problem trying to play a game. I contacted customer support and had the problem resolved the next day and got my wild coins refunded.
I have never had a problem resolved so quickly and with so much help offered.
I've downloaded some games that say "try for free" and then have been able to play that game from start to finish. Entirely free.
Other games take a lot longer for me to play so I expect to pay with my wild coins.
I think if you want something for nothing then make a game and submit it to this site, otherwise stop and think about all the work that is done here and be thankful this site exists.
I used to play The Sims and the Sims2. I had to buy each pack and succeding expansion pack at a cost of around $40.00 per release. That added up to a substantial amount of money.
I find the cost here to be very reasonable, plus I don't have to constantly take my laptop in for updates and fixes so I can play games.
Thank you very much to the support staff who helped me, and thank you very much to the staff on this site who are so patient and helpful.

#155701 Shame On Wt

Posted by heron on 05 March 2012 - 09:58 AM

Hey smoke,

First, I think it's great that they decided to make expansions for the original.
I learned over the years from gaming that not all expansions or sequels will be great but I learned to live with it.
These days, gamers have this "entitlement" that all game must have this greatness. If not, they will go all over the internet spreading this hate. Personally, I think it is unfair and harsh.

The expansions actually did good for the modders.
Undiscovered Realms allowed us to create towns and the ability to drag and drop mods into the mod (realms) folder without the need of a modmanger. I thought this was clever and ingenious.

Traitor Soul gave us a ton of new weapons, 3 new bosses, spells, races, etc along with all the towns from fate and undiscovered realms.
Cursed King gave us a new town theme, new monsters, party system, dungeons, weapons, armors, etc.

Also, if you need a quick patch for FTCK, I made a fan patch you can install which fixed a few minor glitches.

http://forum.wildgam...king-fan-patch/

There's also a wishlist topic where you can add what you like to see in the upcoming-future fate games.

#148259 Video Gaming Habits

Posted by PupdudePwnsAll on 18 July 2011 - 09:30 AM

I just want to know what video gaming habits you have...

Here are mine:

Any game in which you transition to another area with a loading screen through a door (E.g. Megaman): Jump through the door (It's not just awesome, it's ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!)
Assassin's Creed Series: Jump at the end of the sequence (While the area is breaking down and the controller is vibrating)
Any game with breakables: Break it!
Any game that has a melee button: Mash it for no reason (Maybe in time to the music...)
Any game with infinite ammo: Fire it for no reason (Sometimes, I use the infinite machine guns to write "ADA" on the wall in Resident Evil 5)
Any game with a Health Meter, Karma Meter, and/or Activatable Power Meter: Fill the meter completely, even if it means wasting mana, magicka, or money.
Dead Rising 2: I HAVE to use the hilarious nonsensical weapons occasionally
Any game with ammo and reloading: I may not reload my gun until my clip is empty.  Also, I must have even clips, even if it means wasting ammo.  (Even Clips:  Uncharted Series Only)
Elder Scrolls 4 (Oblivion): I have to make the dead trolls look like they are...Well, I probably shouldn't explain it, because it's very ADULT.
*NEW!* Resident Evil 5 Co-op/Uncharted 3 Multiplayer: First rule about online play: DO NOT P*** ME OFF!  I have 'nades, and I'm not afraid to use them!  (I got Infinite Rocket Launcher in RE5, so that now goes double!)  Basically, hit the annoying noob!

Wow, I am really OCD...
